West Winds, Bolinas, CA - Featured on 100 Layer Cake - Part II

This land is sacred and untouched, formed by its expanse and delicate beauty. A group of ladies and myself planned a styled shoot in Bolinas, Ca, a sleepy coastal town outside of San Francisco that is known for its locals only mentality, vast undisturbed lands, and undone wildness. We wanted to let the land around us play through all the elements of the wedding, keeping true to its sacred ways. Florist, Kimberly Rose Evans, foraged for flowers and grasses in the Napa hills, her garden, and even the side of the road to create a dreamy table scape. Combining dried textural elements with soft delicate flowers she brought the subtle, sacred, romantic, outside lands inside. The florals are brought together with brass containers and Heath Ceramics, linens from La Tavola, harmonizing with elements of the wood benches from the Theoni Collection. A dress thats as playful as the west winds and breaths romance, this OnGossamar dress embodies the hippie era that shaped Bolinas into the land it is today. Philippa, of Sacred Style, played with lovely hues of makeup and let Charis's beautiful hair be wild, wild, wild! As artists we are constantly inspired by what surrounds us and want to encourage our brides to let the outside world meld into the inside, to create a truly harmonious balance on their wedding day.
